Responsible for directing the Planning and Inventory Control functions in Illumina Singapore and China Manufacturing operations in a matrix organization. Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials Responsibilities: • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions. • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignments to subordinate managers.• Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.• Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. • Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts. • Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs. • Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. • Interacts with senior management and executives from various functional areas.• Works with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies. • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Provide effective leadership and supervision for planning personnel on a high throughput biotechnology production line.Responsibilities: • Maintain a proactive Material Planning function, with the following objectives: provide on time delivery to support demand requirements. Maintain inventory investment. Maximize manufacturing operating efficiency.• Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure reliable, cost efficient delivery of materials in support of production plan.• Ensure review and maintenance of min/max and safety stock inventory levels to support changes in production plans and material usage. • Ensure the timely processing and review of work orders and work with Cost Accounting to investigate and resolve variances.• Ensure performance of usage analysis and maintain inventory turns objectives. • Ensure ER review and sign off for those potentially impacting production planning.
