In summer 2022, I decided to leave my job in finance. The reason for this was that my passion project, which I had already accompanied behind the scenes for several years and watched grow, reached a size where I could now dedicate myself to it completely. Now, I am involved in building and shaping our own company.As Head of Finance and Operations at Personal Branding Institut, I am responsible for financial planning and risk management. I ensure the operations of the company run smoothly, execute the business model and am closely involved in the strategic development of the company and its products. Personal Branding Institut is an institution for strong personal brands - we help people give voice to their topics via LinkedIn and other channels.In my last position as Senior Director and Deputy Head of Alternative Investments at the European rating agency Scope Group, I assessed and rated funds as well as their asset managers. I have also co-authored rating methodologies for alternative investments and ESG capabilities.I started my professional career at the Hamburg Stock Exchange. There, I co-founded and successfully built up the company's analytical department for closed-end funds. We continuously developed assessment tools for funds and created price indications for the trading team as well as for financial institutions. For our efforts to create transparency in what was then a grey market, we received the Scope Award for Transparency in 2009.After six years at the Hamburg Stock Exchange, I changed perspective and switched to the investment side. As Head of Valuation at the investment manager MCE Schiffskapital AG, I lead my team in the analysis of over 1,000 shipping companies and thereby supported the portfolio management ‘s investment decisions. In 2013, MCE was awarded the Scope Award for Shipping.After being directly involved in winning a Scope Award twice and being approached by a headhunter, I joined Scope in 2014. This step was taken to broaden my horizons in the field of Alternative Investments, and I spent eight great years there.Having worked in various positions in the financial industry, I am able to look at assets from different perspectives. This know-how enables me to perform analysis from all angles and discuss the analysis results at the highest level.Besides my financial knowledge, one of my passions is to develop solutions and companies. Furthermore, in recent years I have advised young founders on financial matters as well as on product development and helped them to better turn their ideas into a profitable business.
