Project manage the electrical infrastructure reliability upgrade project while acting as lead engineer for the replacement of 47 MCC boards on site. Engineer solution to allow replacement of 47 no. MCCs without taking the power from any board until loads have been migrated to new. MCC specification, procurement, FAT. Assessment of all existing connected load power cables suitability for extension / replacement. Analysis of peak load to arrive at peak amp / kW usage and ratio this figure against full connected load (diversity / demand factor) to asses board loading with respect to ACB settings and also for specification of new upstream 22kV / 380V transformers. Civil extension of existing sub stations including earth grid modifications to eliminate touch / step voltages. Protection coordination. Cable sizing. Replacement of one of the site's 67MVA 110kV / 22kV transformers with a new unit, then organising refurbishment of existing as a spare to be installed in place of the other 67MVA. OLTP replacement along with installation of PLC to record status and analogue transformer signals. Replacement of 89 no. 22/0.4kV transformers and 23 22/3.3kV transformers. Project to be executed over 4 years with an overall value of €24 million.
