I’ve been with NORR for over 25 years.. What I learned is that getting to know the client is the most important part of getting a project done. Really listening to and understanding the client’s point of view is how I become a trusted advisor and advocator of design. I believe eight major hospital clients in Toronto see me that way, along with health sciences professionals across Canada whose projects include research facilities, education centres, laboratories and health care facilities of every kind. My expertise in complex design is often applied to other sectors, which has given me the opportunity to work on projects that include Canadian Blood Services Western Distribution Centre, several justice facilities, commercial office towers in Dubai and sports facilities for the 2015 Pan Am Games. Health sciences is a sector that will always be relevant and I see NORR as having a pivotal role how hospitals look and function going forward.
