End responsible for Transportation for a well-known international OEM manufacturer:- Transportation of parts and merchandise- Transportation for niche markets (eg motorcycle transports)Scope: outbound EMEA road/intermodal/parcel and air shipments Main roles and responsabilities:- Identifying and implementing saving/efficiency opportunities- Followup on service: KPI's, leadtimes, corrective measures and escalations- Implementing new lanes: e.g. Brexit, e-commerce, bicycle transportation, ...- Handling important lane adjustments/changes: eg Covid19 transportation setup- Implementing new carriers: conducting RFQ's, assignment of carriers, rate negociations- Contract/SOP creation- Followup of costs and budget control- Support customs team

Supply chain optimizations regarding transportation: - Ensuring efficient logistical processes: setup of new lanes/carriers, creation of procedures, follow-up of KPI’s, review meetings- Mitigate supply chain risks: o Responsible as escalation contact for our admin team to ensure operational arrangements/procedures/timelines are respected o Alignment with demand planning/warehouse/customer service on critical shipment o Provide solutions for express shipments by using a strong network of transport companies Analytics:- Experienced in cost- and capability analysis for all modes of transport worldwide- Follow-up on cost parameters (transportation budget)- Follow-up on performance parameters of our air, ocean, road and parcels carriers- Take initiative, develop and perform simulations on Cost Improvement Projects (savings)- Expert in excel, yet specializing lately in new Microsoft tools like Power BI to work with large data sets. Also able to work with Tableau (Power Bi alternative)Projects:- Transportation improvement projects: o Auditing & setup corrective measures: e.g. control tower department Athlone IE) o Cost optimization proposals/savings: e.g. change shipment profiles at production sites, barge transportation (pollution reduction), …- RFQ’s: selecting qualitative and cost efficient carriers to handle our day to day cargoRepresent the EMEA transportation team:- Direct support/backup of EMEA Traffic Manager- Evaluate/approve additional transportation charges
