I represent Legal Aid clients as leading counsel in criminal proceedings including superior court trials and the Queensland Court of Appeal. I exercise the discretion to recommend aid for, and initiate appeals in the Court of Appeal. I appear for the Separate Representative in Child Protection matters and for interested parties in Coronial inquiries. As an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner I also chair Family Mediations for Legal Aid.

As Legal Member I chaired Tribunal Hearings, sitting with a Medical Member and Community Member. Sitting together, Tribunal Members review Involuntary Treatment Orders and Forensic Orders and determine applications to administer ECT treatment.

I appeared as counsel prosecuting serious crimes in superior courts throughout Queensland. Training undertaken in this position included 'Unsafe Havens 1 and 2: Prosecuting Online Crimes Against Children.' This training was provided by the National District Attorneys' Association of the United States of America.

I was the principal of four lawyers representing Aboriginal and Islander people charged with criminal offences throughout North Queensland.
