Frank Schumann is responsible for the global marketing strategy and activities of Trinseo’s mobility businesses - across all BUs and technologies.Under his leadership, Trinseo’s mobility team helps to meet and exceed the exacting requirements of the ever-evolving marketplace with innovative product lines including ABS, PC/ABS, PMMA, Long Glass Fiber compounds and a complete range of thermoplastic elastomers and thermoplastic polyurethanes. Schumann is dedicated to helping Trinseo evolve and adapt its mobility solution offering in line with changing megatrends within the industry. To answer the strong demand for CO2 reduction, a major emphasis is focusing plastics with a quantified environmental advantage (cradle-to-gate) as well as tailored products to enable sustainability on a parts level with regards to lightweighting or metal replacement (cradle-to-grave). As a regular conference speaker, Schumann aims to support the industry shift to a fossil-free future based on global "sustainability" insights, best practice and his passion for mobility.Schumann has considerable experience working at major interior, exterior and under-the-hood automotive Tier suppliers. Prior to joining Trinseo in 2018, he spent 11 years working with the International Automotive Components Group (IAC), most recently leading the Advanced Material & Process Group in Europe. Schumann holds an MBA from Aston University, Birmingham, UK, in addition to a Diploma in Material Science obtained at the University of Applied Sciences, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Germany.
