He is Hellman Electric Corp’s field labor liaison with the union that the Company is signatory to, IBEW Local Union #3. As such Mr. Sergi is responsible for manpower placement, hiring, terminating, layoff and performance evaluations. Mr. Sergi has been in this position for the Company for 11 years as of March 2016. Mr. Sergi has also been employed with the Company for 8 years prior to his current role, for a total of 19 years. Since his graduation from the Electrical Apprenticeship program he has diligently and conscientiously supplemented his knowledge and experience enabling him to quickly rise through the ranks to his current position. He holds a Local Union #3 “A” Journeyman’s card. He started in the industry as a Journeyman Electrician. He then moved on to being a Sub-Foreman, Shop Steward, General Foreman and Assistant Superintendent throughout his career, on a variety of projects. He’s worked on projects for NYS & NYC DOT, MTA, DEP, DOS, DDC, EDC, SCA, DASNY, Port Authority of NY&NJ to name a few municipal agencies, as well as, a several private firm client projects. He’s been involved with High Rise Building Core work, Tenant fit out work, Substation work, High voltage, Medium voltage and Low voltage Service work, Traffic and Street lighting, Maintenance work, Intelligent Traffic Systems, Fiber Optic plant and lateral infrastructure work, General Site infrastructure, and Industrial Control Plant work. He also has Prime – Subcontractor experience where he is very familiar with relations and coordination with other craft trades. Show less
