PIN-NL stands for Process Intensification Network Netherlands and is an initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (Agentschap NL) together with Dutch Industry – all with a special interest on energy saving and increase of effectiveness within the different applied processes. The PIN-NL network consists of a group of experts coming from industry, though also universities, knowledge institutes, consultancies and government are represented. On a regular basis members in this network share their thoughts, ideas and progress on process intensification. The knowledge network aims to stimulate the implementation and use of techniques that lead to intensification of processes. Creating a (sometimes significant) reduction of operational costs at competitive investment levels. Also Safety can be improved and the Environmental load reduced. To achieve these goals an open minded cooperation over the whole value chain, encouraging development of knowledge and skills, sharing and transfer is applied.

In the OECD countries, around 60% of the population over the age of 19 suffer from overweight and around 24% suffer from obesity!For many people, only exercises and diets do not help enough or are not possible (or only to a limited extent) due to other complications.

Because technology failed and product development would no longer lead to a viable business case, stopped this company without bankruptcy.
