Upon accepting the role as Operations manager at CH Maintenance Services Ltd the opportunity to take on the role as Operations Director at Spray Engineering came hand in hand as the company was acquired by the group of companies. This was an ideal match for me to tie in my engineering background and my property knowledge. We have re-launched the safety showers, modernising the marketing suite and the product range and material choices. I am excited about the future in this market.

As operations manager I plan and manage all works which the CH group undertake. We have a strong team of tradesmen which is ever developing. As a company with a £4m turnover for this year end and a estimated £6m this year we put this growth down to good customer care.

self employed position in my property maintenance company. On my return from the USA I set up this company while I re-established my family into the UK. This business was a successful venture and once i built it to a competent size, with repeat business, i sold it. I decided to look for a full time role in an established and growing business. .

During my three years in America I became involved in several business ventures and completed several new build projects including being the project manager of my own new build project.

Responsible for day-to-day running of the 30 strong After Sales Team including; Technicians, Painters, Admin, Parts, Valets etc The most notable day to day tasks were to; • Manage, select, recruit, train and oversee staff development.• Resolve customer queries and complaints • Load workshop to ensure most effective turnaround.• Manage controllable costs to maximize profitability.• Negotiate contracts and labour rates with lease companies and corporate accounts.• Maintain accurate and up to date records and input manufactures warranty claims.• Produce management reports via in house systems. I feel that I succeeded in this role as was shown in the Honda performance results table where I moved the department from bottom 300 to top 10 performing. These ratings are judged on the profit and efficiency of the individual departments.

All responsibilities and duties as above however I applied for the role at a time when it had been decided that the current Citroen Dealership was to be upgraded to a Honda Franchise and so I played an integral part in the re-modelling, marketing, recruiting and re-training of the staff. This firmly established the dealership with a solid grounding as it is still running to this day.

Covering most of the Cheshire area we offered two mobile electrical workshops with three full time staff. I ran the admin/ accounting side while continuing with Property development in both the commercial and residential sectors. Built the business to a competent position with a good forward order book with established corporate bookings and then sold the business.

I began my career as an apprentice technician and with 5 promotions over my time there i made my way through my qualifications to a Quality Control Supervisor. During this time my Property renovation career grew during my weekends and evenings building a sizeable portfolio.
