Frank Staud has over 30 years of experience in journalism and communications. As Executive Vice President Corporate Communications, Branding & Sponsoring of STADA, he is responsible for external, internal and digital communications and the STADA brand globally. Since 2017, Frank has been supporting STADA’s cultural and growth journey from a mid-sized German pharmaceutical company to a global top 10 Consumer Healthcare and Generics player. STADA employs more than 11,500 people, anticipates an annual turnover of more than € 4 bn and is headquartered in Bad Vilbel (Frankfurt). He began his journalistic career 1989 at the Austrian Press Agency APA and worked as well for radio stations and other publications. From 1999 to 2008, Frank worked for the 320,000-circulation daily Tiroler Tageszeitung, first as the business editor and then as editor-in-chief from 2005 to 2008. From 2010 to 2013, Frank worked for Actavis as Executive Vice President Corporate Communications, responsible for external and internal communications, branding and sponsoring. He was part of the top management team and instrumental in organizing and communicating the change process which led to a successful divestiture of the company to Watson. The Actavis brand was so successfully implemented that Watson decided to give up the Watson brand and stay with Actavis for their entire generics business. Frank is as well-known as an inspiring speaker and experienced moderator.
