Based in Florence, SC I had CSX system wide responsibilities as the CSX liaison with Amtrak and the contract commuter train agencies. CSX Florence Division was my main area of focus. I served the division as the main point of contact for any passenger train issues.

At the CSXT Network Operations Center I was responsible for tracking all passenger trains on the CSX system. Amtrak, MBTA, VRE, MARC and Tri-Rail. Scoring and justifying and recording Amtrak Conductor Delay Reports to ensure compliance with the CSXT/Amtrak/ Commuter Agency contract. Recording and sending reports about passenger train on time performance to all levels of CSXT Management and Amtrak/Commuter Railroad Management. I have performed duties as a liaison officer between CSXT Network Operations and/or CSX Operating Divisions and the passenger agencies during normal operations and any service disruptions or emergency situations.

Working a regular assigned work train involved with the Amtrak Keystone Improvement Project, passenger train conductor position between Harrisburg and Philadelphia.

Responsible for operating rules training for engineers, conductors, assistant conductors and supervision for the Southern Division of Amtrak. I was also responsible for Amtrak Engineering Department training within the Southern Division of Amtrak. I facilitated CSX Operating Rules qualifying classes for Amtrak Transportation and Engineering Departments.I was qualified to instruct the following railroad operating rules: CSX, Norfolk Southern, General Code of Operating Rules/BN, Canadian National / IC and N.O.R.A.C.

Working a regular assigned passenger conductor position between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA.

Developed, planned and implemented the Amtrak New Hire Conductor Training Program This program consisted of Operating Rules, Air Brake and Train handling procedures, P.R.E.P.A.R.E. training and Emergency Evacuation Procedures for passenger trains, Car Handling training, Revenue Accounting for Conductors, Customer Service Skills Training, and EEO/Diversity Training, I was the facilitator of all of these courses. Developed and implemented and facilitated conductor training for the start up of the following commuter services under contract with Amtrak; M.B.T.A., M.A.R.C., Virginia Railway Express, Metro Link, Peninsula Commuter Service and the Shoreline East Commuter Service. I worked with all levels of contract commuter agency management to develop these training programs. I was course developer of the Amtrak Car Handling Program for new hire Asst. Conductors. Delivered training during the Amtrak T&E Takeover project in T&E crew bases systemwide (1986-1990).I served as Coordinator/Consultant/Trainer for Amtrak Conductor refresher training systemwide. Conducted Train the Trainer courses for new conductor and passenger services trainers.

Freight train conductor working in through freight, local freight and yard service (Conrail - Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Morrisville, Allentown and Camden NJ). As an Amtrak conductor I worked between New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Harrisburg (Qualified conductor on over 700 miles of freight and passenger railroad).

Conductor/Brakeman/Trainman, working in Amtrak/Conrail passenger service and Conrail freight train conductor working in through freight, local freight and yard service (Conrail - Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Morrisville, Allentown and Camden NJ). I worked the position of yardmaster at Conrail's South Philadelphia Terminal between August 1980 and July 1981. I was qualified on all five yards at Conrail's South Philadelphia Terminal as a yardmaster.
