Frank J. Vecchione has been an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law for over 20 years, offering a course in debtor-creditor relations and bankruptcy. Mr. Vecchione has represented numerous debtors, fiduciaries and creditors in Chapter 11 cases for over 35 years. In December 2007, he was successful in confirming a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization on behalf of The Muralo Company, Inc. In September 2000, he succeeded in confirming a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization on behalf of American Family Publishers. Prior to that, Mr. Vecchione led a team of attorneys representing the Trustee in the Chapter 11 case of Marvel Enterprises in Delaware. He also served as co-counsel for New Valley Corporation (successor to Western Union) in its successful reorganization. In 1976, as counsel, he had a plan of reorganization confirmed for Bloomfield College, a four-year college, marking the first college to successfully reorganize under the Bankruptcy Act. He has also participated in numerous New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and Practicing Law Institute programs for continuing legal education for practitioners. Mr. Vecchione has written bankruptcy articles for various publications, including the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and the Journal of College and University Law. He was Chairman of the Debtor-Creditor Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association for the years 1978-1980. In 1991, he was inducted by the American Bankruptcy Institute as a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy. In 1992, he was honored as the Outstanding Alumnus of the year by Seton Hall Law School.
