Established a new Analogic division dedicated to the design development, manufacturing, and deployment of next-generation EDS Scanner, designed and produced 500 EDS scanners for the TSA following 911 to include other technology security products. Authored technical project proposals and then secured four major development contracts with the U.S. Government to design the next generation of automated explosive detection systems for the aviation checked-baggage and passenger checkpoint markets. Served as the lead Program Manager spearheading four advanced new product-development efforts and guiding their successful completion through the rigorous phased requirements of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Achieved government certification of detection algorithms, making Analogic one of only four companies world-wide to have achieved such certification. Authored the strategic business plan and spearheaded all product initiatives that solidified Analogic’s brand positioning as one of TSA’s preferred design companies for advanced security detection products. Achieved initial business objective that accelerated the company’s ability to offer multiple checked-baggage EDS products and become a total system provider directly to the TSA for passenger checkpoint automated detection systems. Led the effort that secured Analogic’s first direct production Government contract for an automated Checkpoint Detection system.
