With a strong foundation growing up on a farm, I cultivated responsibility, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities. My journey led me to work at a welding shop, honing my technical skills in equipment operation, welding, and metal finishing. Over the past 15 years, I've excelled in the HVAC industry, starting from new construction, overseeing rough-ins, ductwork, fireplaces, AC units, and furnaces. My expertise extended to managing gas and venting in three commercial projects across Brampton, Vaughn, and Ottawa. My role in retail installs, particularly through Costco, allowed me to provide tailored solutions.In my subsequent HVAC role, I embraced a dual role in service and retail installations. I introduced efficiencies by establishing an in-house Sheetmetal shop, personally training team members to craft fittings and enhance service delivery. Throughout my career, I've serviced, repaired, and maintained diverse HVAC systems, including furnaces, AC units, water heaters, and heat pumps, all while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences.My commitment to excellence and growth led to significant leadership roles. From being a shop steward, I progressed to become an executive board member, vice president, and eventually the president, demonstrating my dedication to both my craft and my colleagues. To further my professional development, I've immersed myself in literature, studying the principles of leadership and self-deception from the Arbinger Institute, strategies from "Good to Great," the art of "Crucial Conversations," and the insights shared in "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."I'm excited to connect with like-minded professionals and explore new opportunities in the HVAC industry while applying my rich experience in leadership, technical expertise, and continuous growth.
