Operations focal point for Shearwater platform during Field Integrity Operations Project. Role was based onshore in Aberdeen providing operations input to alarm classification, SIL Assessment and HAZOP exercises. Produced operator actions for inclusion in Variable Table which provides basis of DCS master alarm database. Technical focal point for implementation of changes to DCS system as part of project including attending FAT as client rep. Graduated from Shell Technical Operational Professional Program (TOPP) before progressing into discipline support role.

Started on assets initially as Senior Operations Technician operating and maintaining production plant on daily basis. Area competencies include Gas Treatment, Gas Export, Oil Processing,Oil Export, Utilities and Control Room Operations. Responsible for isolation / de isolation of plant and daily optimisation. Part of operations team during several major TARs and upgrade projects. Additionally carried out role as TCI providing technical support and acting as client focal point for all C&A related issues offshore. Role included acting as custodian of platform safety systems (Honeywell TDC / Experian, Yokogawa Prosafe SLS ESD System and ICS Triplex Fire and Gas System (SFD2000). Provided guidance and direction to contract maintenance and vendor personnel while onboard. Acted as mentor and assessor for trainee technicians. Carried out fault finding and modifications on plant as required.

Part of operations team offshore responsible for safe operation of a 1st generation oil production platform. Competence in Oil processing, Utilities and Control Room operations. Isolating authority for plant and instrumentation. Also carried out role as TCI which was platform focal point for platform instrumentation and safety systems. Responsible for proof testing ESD systems, carrying out Fiscal metering calibrations on oil metering package and fault finding on a range of electronic and pneumatic based systems. Member of Emergency Response Team.

Part of multi disciplined maintenance team based within the Fuel Handling route in B station. Duties included carrying out planned maintenance and fault finding on a wide variety of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation. Seconded to turbine maintenance team during planned reactor outage to supplement instrument support team.

Completed indentured apprenticeship as Instrument Mechanic as part of multi skilled maintenance team. Finished apprenticeship 6 months early and progressed into role within Vitamin C Modernisation Project. Role included instrument Pre Commissioning / Commissioning and shift instrument maintenance support in operational phase. Experience gained in a wide variety of field instrumentation including Rosemount, Endress & Hauser and Krohne. Also gained experience in DCS systems including ABB Advant DCS. Additionally completed multi skilled training program in electrical maintenance gaining competence in fault finding and isolation of equipment up to 440v systems.
