As a seasoned Nursing Home Administrator and Project Management Professional, I bring over a decade of experience in healthcare administration and project management to the table. I currently serve as the Administrator at Teresian House Nursing Home in Albany, NY, where I oversee a wide range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of care and life for our residents.Under my leadership, we are implementing a $1 million Restorative Nursing Program to improve safety and clinical outcomes. I am also the project manager for the renovation and environmental enhancements of our 50-year-old long-term care facility, ensuring that our space meets the evolving needs of our community.In addition to my administrative duties, I am passionate about professional development and education. I am a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) and hold the prestigious Health Services Executive (HSE) qualification. I also serve on the ACHCA Nominating Committee at the national level and the Awards Committee at the NY Chapter level.My educational background includes a master's degree in Health Services Administration from The Sage Colleges, a bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and an advanced communications degree from the Institute of Commercial Management in the UK.I am committed to continuous learning and recently earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential to further enhance my project management skills. I am proficient in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project, which I use to develop schedules, assign resources, track progress, and manage budgets for our projects.I am honored to have received the ACHCA NY Chapter "Hero Award" for my leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic, and I continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of my work.
