The Institutional Banking & Markets division houses the Bank’s largest institutional clients, delivering a broad range of financial services to improve and optimise business mix, capital structure and investor access.The position of client relationship executive involved the management of a diversified industrial portfolio of publicly listed or very large private domestic and offshore clients with footings of ~$3bn.Integral to the position was the requirement to create and maintain strong relationships at CEO/CFO level in order to position the Bank and deliver solutions covering various capital and equity markets as well as transaction banking and the management of interest rate and foreign exchange risk. Leading and coordinating large deal teams consisting of up to 10 members was also pivotal to ensure the delivery of successful outcomes. This success was demonstrated via the execution of several key transactions.

The position of relationship manager involved managing a small group of highly valued institutional clients with footings of ~$1bn. In addition, the role included the dual responsibility of simultaneously providing assistance to a senior relationship executive, managing one of the highest earning diversified portfolios in Australia, with footings of ~$4bn. A key aspect of this position was to effectively position the Bank with clients in order to provide broad based financial solutions across the entire capital spectrum. In addition, the dual responsibilities of the role particularly demanded strong relationships with internal business partners and excellent communication/organisational skills, given there were often several deal teams operating simultaneously across various transactions.

Worked within a team which was responsible for the management and growth of an existing portfolio of business clients (businesses with turnover above $10m p.a.)This team was awarded best business banking team in Australia in 2002 and 2003, with exceptional asset and income growth.

Commenced as a graduate which involved secondments within various areas of the Banks branch and business banking network.
