Regional Investigator covering the Midlands, providing a service giving advice on criminal matters, loss prevention, margin erosion and carrying out cradle to grave internal and criminal investigations. During my time, I have also previously taken on a National team leader role which has meant working closely with other senior Managers in the team and the wider business concentrating on the strategic development of the department to achieve the company aims & targets. As a team, we also provide advice and guidance to Regional, Area and Store Managers on shrinkage and physical security issues. We work closely with the wider business to investigation current threats within all lines of business to include Retail, Online and Telesales and acting in a consultative capacity to these areas during development of new products and processes prior to going to market. As a team our main focus is on intelligence led investigations and future threats. I have also represented the company on external forums in relation to telecommunications fraud, investigations and Loss Prevention

Reactive security role involving employee and premises protection. Responsible for the physical security of 322 stores mainly sited in high residential areas, Including risk assessment and recommendations. Liaison with 3rd party suppliers and District and Divisional Managers. Another Part of the role also required me to attend District and Divisional meetings to obtain field management buy-in to initiatives and inform Managers of new security measures etc A vital element of the role included attending trading standards/ police interviews with managers who had allegedly breached licensing laws or trading standard test purchases.

Senior Divisional Loss Prevention Manager, Carphone Warehouse Plc. Promoted to Senior Loss Prevention Manager June 2006 for the London Division. Responsible for 3 Loss Prevention Managers within the Division. Liaison with Divisional retail support functions including Divisional Managers and Area Managers. Responsible for the creation and implementation of strategies with the Division and also company wide e.g. Best Practice Documentation. Deputise for U.K. Head of Retail Loss Prevention Manager. Implementation of best practice throughout Division to minimise losses. Involvement in large scale fraud investigations.

Responsible for the risk associated with retail stores & Head office departments. The vast majority of stores were mainly sited in residential areas and the role required me to visit these stores on a proactive basis to carryout risk assessment and make recommendations to improve safety of staff, company assets. Responsible for the field audit function for all of the company properties and also the Central Support Centre. Ad-Hoc assignments as required including; staff training, regional and board presentations. Carry out a full audit for all hotels within the group. This function included all financial areas of compliance and areas of a non-financial nature including health and safety, quality audits and staff relations to mention a few. All audits were completed using the audit programme designed by the audit team. Preparation of yearly audit of head office functions. Relaying findings to Directors and Chief Executive.Preparation of reports and the possible remedies to be implemented at both hotel and head office level. Regular liaison with Heads of Departments to improve and focus the internal audit function. Towards the end of 2003 I was put at risk and during this process I was offered and accepted a role as a Finance Manager looking after 2 prestigious hotels.
