As chair of the STAR PMCA Board of Advisors I work hand in hand with the STAR PMCA Managing Director and Board of Advisors members to guide STAR PMCA and the management team through business formation, development and growth providing direction, support and know-how contextualized to the needs of STAR PMCA in line with its value proposition.

As chair of DMA Advisory Board my role, beyond good governance and compliance, is to assist the Directors in collaboration with the broader business achieve the targets and timeframes set out in the Business Plan and to ensure all elements of DMA Engineers are aligned to the plan.In addition my role includes coaching, mentoring and development of the Advisory Board members and Directors and representing DMA Engineers interests in industry forums and professional associations.

As Director ANZ ORM I was responsible for, on behalf of the statutory directors of AECOM Australia Pty Ltd and AECOM New Zealand Ltd, governance, compliance and effective management of AECOM ANZ’s business, commercial, financial and project risk including the drive to improved business outcomes. Director ANZ ORM reported to the ANZ Commercial Director, the role required interaction with Commercial, Risk, Legal, Finance, HR and Marketing business functions, Regional Management and Project Teams across the Region (ANZ), the Geography (APAC) and Global (AECOM Corp Enterprise) When I took on the role of Director ANZ ORM there had been little change in the function over a number of years despite significant changes in the business. This presented an opportunity to reposition the ANZ ORM; enhance the policies, procedures and guidance; align with the obligations of the statutory directors; encourage innovation; improve efficiencies; enhance customer service and develop strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.Within a short period, through hard work, collaboration and commitment, we successfully achieved and in many instances exceeded the goals and aspirations of the AECOM ANZ CEO, Statutory Directors and Executive Committee..Achievements include:• Alignment of Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) ORM systems, processes and people with APAC and AECOM Enterprise;• Involvement of ORM in the implementation and practical application of the ANZ Strategy/Business/Operational Plans;• Proactive risk based contribution to opportunities, pursuits, bids and delivery of projects;• Improved reporting; real time predictive forward looking rather than backword looking;• Favourable negotiated outcomes from legal and commercial disputes, from $50K to $75M;• Robust business governance and risk management in line with Statutory Directors obligations; and• Conversion and roll out of digital data based system in lieu of paper/email process/workflow.

I was responsible to the Northern & Western Australia (NWA) Regional Managing Director for leading Project Delivery, Safety, Commercial/Legal, IT/CAD, Operations and Business Services functions for the Northern & Western Australia region of the ANZ Geography of AECOM.Achievements include:• Development and growth of each of the support services in line with the growth of the NWA business• Transition of “regional” functions of IT, Safety, Legal and Business Services to ANZ led support functions• 8 month stint as acting Western Australia (WA) Regional Director• Contributor to the NWA Region exceeding financial and operational plan targets year on year.

I was responsible to the Queensland Regional Managing Director for leading Project Delivery, Safety, Commercial/Legal, IT/CAD, Operations and Business Services functions for the Queensland region of the ANZ Geography of AECOM.In addition to my regional operations role I was given responsible for the commercial/legal and transactional management of all Real Estate across Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) and representing ANZ on the AECOM Global Real Estate Group.I also represented the Procurement functions within the AECOM ANZ Geography as a member of the AECOM Global Procurement Group.Achievements include:• Delivering business wide positive commercial, contractual and financial outcomes in Real Estate and Procurement across ANZ• Development, as Client Director, of the AECOM (13,000 square metre) fit out of 540 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley and the relocation of 1000 staff from 9 locations• Bringing together 5 legacy brands in a single location as AECOM for the first time globally.

I was responsible to the Queensland Regional Managing Director for the introduction, development and leadership of corporate services functions in line with the growth of the Queensland business including HR, Marketing, Communications, Business Services, Operations, Facilities and IT. Over this period the Support Services function grew to a team of seven managers/direct reports and a team of 120+ supporting in excess of 1000 professional/technical staff in Queensland. Australian Building Engineering Services Consultancy located in nine offices around Australia, with a staff of over 300 and 12 equity partners.I was responsible to the partnership for the development and growth of the Queensland business in line with our nationally adopted strategic direction. Over the period the Queensland business grew to be one of the largest Building Services practices in the Queensland market. Revenue (to $18M), profit (to 20%) and staff numbers (to 94) increased over the period of my tenure, staff engagement and retention was high, staff turnover was consistently less than 4% and financial/cash management targets exceeded plan year on year.In 2004 Bassett Consulting Engineers merged with AECOM becoming part of the Maunsell operating company in AECOM’s Australia/New Zealand/Middle East and South East Asian region. I successfully led the integration of Bassett’s Queensland business into the Buildings regional business line of Maunsell/AECOM.
