The notion for what is now known as Gondola Skate came as I was working with Rite Aid as their preferred Architect, one of the largest drugstore chains in the United States, during its 1997 acquisition of Thrifty Payless. To accommodate a new store layout, the retail chain needed a solution for moving fully loaded shelving units. Twenty one years later, this single idea has developed into one of the largest solution providers for fixture mobilization in the world.We develop solutions that enable retailers and warehousing professionals to move fully loaded gondola shelving and pallet racking more safely and efficiently. Our products can mobilize shelving units of any type in as little as 15 minutes or less with as few as four employees – without the need to demerchandise or completely empty shelves of inventory. This process enables retailers to achieve significant cost savings while maintaining the customer experience.
