“There is no box”. My late father scribbled that phrase on a sticky note, pressing it onto the palm of my hand. I was working at a tech startup he founded, and it was not unusual for him to call me into his office to chat. I looked at the note for a moment—unsure of the meaning it held. “For you Frank, there is no box. No boundaries. No achievement is off-limits or out of bounds. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” I took the sticky note back to my office, shut the door, and wept. That was the first time he’d ever said—in so many words—that he was proud of me. That sticky note has stayed with me for over a decade. Every time I look at it (or think of my dad) it inspires me to prove to anyone I interact with—there is no box.I am a co-creator & facilitator of Culture Rise (formerly known as Seneca Leaders), a radical culture and transformation product. As Softway’s Director of Culture and Culture Rise, I've taught culture change all over the world to over 3000 leaders from 60 different countries.
