This is an incredibly interesting time for the Data Science field. Big Data tools are hitting their stride, Machine Learning is showing real value in the mainstream and massive potential value for the future, and statistical decision-making tools are becoming powerful almost to the level of magic. The blending of technological tools, managerial disciplines, and statistical science has the potential to be the strongest worldwide economic driver in history. Working in the field over the last several years, it feels like it’s the capability of this discipline is now starting to peek out from behind the curtain and show what a force it really can be.
