CurrentAs a global coach I work with founders and investors around the world. Global also means I work on a wide range of business topics. My framework is The Artful Science of Pitching® which focuses on helping founders convey a convincing, compelling reason for an investor to invest. This lens helps me identify where the dots do not connect and then we dive. My client range is diverse: I often work through innovation centers with founders who have large exit aspirations and through economic development agencies in support of sole proprietors and others building lifestyle businesses. My client range is also inclusive: In addition to supporting prevalent founder profiles, I have supported or designed & delivered programs focused on entrepreneurs who are Women, People of Colour, Indigenous, and abled differently than most. Have worked with about 2000 founders. All of my business is by referral, so you won't find a website, blog, social media posts, etc. I also work with angel investors helping them be great angels. The Artful Science of Pitching® is one of several Artful Sciences™ which cover business planning (Being Less Wrong Over Time™), a Go To Market model called VEGaS™ (Validate, Enter, Grow, and Scale-up), market sizing (one of the most misused topics in a pitch!), being an angel investor, governance, and more.I bring a 360-degree perspective to my work. I have a corporate background (25 yrs including exec roles); been in sell-side, buy-side, build, and consulting roles; manage an angel investment portfolio; sit on the Laurier Start-Up Fund investment committee; multiple times a founder; sailed the 7 Cs (been a CEO, CFO, CIO, CSO (strategy), chair, coach, consultant); raised over $40M in C-level roles; and have developed & delivered full incubator & accelerator programs.
