Due to the implementation of multiple cruises originating from Dutch ports in 2010, Holland America Line created the position of "Dutch Host". The Dutch Host was onboard to assist in anyway necessary to create a pleasant and seamless vacation experience for its Dutch speaking guests.Specific duties: Presentation and transalation from English to Dutch of all Port Talks, Captain's Announcements, Port Arrival/Customs Clearance Announcement, Evening Mainstage Show Introduction, Cooking Demonstrations, Disembarkment Process Presentation, and all other Public Address System Announcements. Additionally to assist at all Social Functions, Meet-and-Greet, and to present a 50-minute solo performance on the mainstage during the cruise.

With 3 ships, Seabourn caters to a discerning and demanding clientele.DUTIES INCLUDED: All public address announcements, Safety Drills for Guests, planning of the Guest's Daily Program, scheduling/organization of on-board shows and special events, and the making of rehearsal schedules for performers, orchestra, and technical staff. Further, the coordination and running of rehearsals, and the quality maintenance of all on-board entertainment and events. The Cruise Director was also expected to perform an evening solo-cabaret in the main lounge and also to serve as Master of Ceremonies for all on-board events/shows, lectures, and games. Close liaison and coordination with other onboard and land departments was a prerequisite. Preparation of extensive Cruise Reports, Employee Evaluations, budgets.

Seelive Tivoli is the production house for the Italian-flagged Aida Cruises. The line has 4 ships and has ordered 4 more mega-ships to come into operation over the next four years.DUTIES INCLUDED: Musical rehearsals for Cast (16 members) and Orchestra (10 musicians), musical preparation, and maintenance of musical quality of cast and orchestra. Transporting of the show from the on-land rehearsal space to the cruise ship itself. In addition: management of the orchestra musicians, all bands, trios, and the various musicians for all the onboard venues. Onboard creation of necessary events augmenting the normal show performance schedule.(Additional cabaret spots/pool events/late-night specials etc.) Direct liaison with other ship's departments and execution of land based management's decisions. Preparation of Employee evaluations and show reports.

In 2004 the multi-million Euro musical ETERNITY (a touring production) was produced by the Airforce Orchestra. The company consisted of 18 performers, a 53-piece orchestra, a stage crew of 10, plus other backstage support. DUTIES INCLUDED: Writing of libretto and song texts, directing, staging, musical/vocal coaching of ETERNITY, In addition: Preparing of script and score for the performers, preparation and maintenance of the cue-book for Lighting/Sound/Technical Staff, the making of rehearsal schedules for cast/crew/orchestra, and managing the rehearsal process. Quality control of the production was a responsibility. (Program Book and DVD on request.)

Show Center Eric Emmanuel produces large-budget quality revue shows for large 4 and 5-star luxury cruise ships in the German cruise ship market. The shows (4 one-hour revues per vessel) consisted of 10 performers with large and complicated sets and costumes. Rehearsals would occur in Hamburg and then the shows were then moved to the appropriate vessel for montage. DUTIES INCLUDED: The conceiving and writing of the shows, scheduling and running of musical rehearsals with the cast, managing of staging rehearsals, transporting the show from the rehearsal space to the cruise ship itself, training of the on-board technical staff (Lights and Sound), montage of the show, and the maintenance of the product (quality control)

Seabourn Cunard Line is a 5-star plus luxury cruise line which caters to a discerning and demanding clientele.DUTIES INCLUDED: To assist the Cruise Director in any way deemed necessary. Attendance at all onboard social activities, games, and Guest Safety Drills. creation of dinner invitations and hosting of tables in the Dining Room. Organization of on-board shows, the making of rehearsal schedules for performers, orchestra, and technical staff. Further, the coordination and running of rehearsals, and the quality maintenance of all on-board entertainment. Also served as Master of Ceremonies for most on-board events.

produced Andrew Lloyd Webber's roller-skate musical. The show was a multi-million Euro production with a cast of 35, a 20-piece orchestra, and a huge technical staff. The technically complex show was especially challenging due to the unusual requirement of dancers/athletes/singers having to performing on roller skates.DUTIES INCLUDED: The preparation of rehearsal schedules with other Department Heads (Sound/Costumes/Wigs/Light/Technical), combining the Musical/Vocal preparation/ with mise-en-scene training of all soloists and their understudies, and coordination of the performer with the Dance Captain, Conductor, and In-house Director and London Artistic Staff.

The Royal Flemish Ballet (Koningklijke Ballet van Vlaanderen) is a government subsidized performance company which produces three touring musical productions every season. DUTIES INCLUDED: Playing of Lead Roles in annual season's productions, Vocal preparation and direction of Soloists and Ensemble members. Individual singing technique lessons for members of the company. Further, any necessary assistance to the Conductors/Artistic Director of the three annual productions.

Existing for almost 75 years, American Musical Theater is a 2,500-seat theater, which produces 4 to 6 large musicals annually for a subscription audience.DUTIES INCLUDED: Stage appearances in the various season's productions, Direction, staging, musical preparation/coaching, and rehearsal of promotional packages and fund raising events for A.M.T.
