Managed General Accounting Services and all Regulatory filing functions in conjunction with Corporate Secretary and Legal Department, including handling the following duties for three separate insurance companies licensed in all 50 states: • Managed all facets of Accounts Payable including cutting and distribution of Operating and Claims checks, utilizing an in-house claims system that interfaced with the accounting software and issuing 1099s at year-end. • Created several running analyses of specific GL accounts for monthly GL Reconciliation. • Notarized all documents for state filings. • Prepared Monthly Loss Financials, analyzing company reserves, paids and incurred losses. • Prepared Daily Cash Reports, and streamlined the Weekly Consolidated Cash Reports. • Coordinated the review, assembly, printing and distribution of the Monthly Management reports. • Prepared State Pages, which reflect Reserve Balances, Paid Loss and Incurred Loss by Line of Business for 46 states. • Developed and maintained a tracking system to ensure all filings were received by their due dates saving money by avoiding fines for late filings. • Interacted with State Insurance and related agencies to clarify filing requirements and seek exemptions, where applicable. • Filed Annual and Quarterly statements and related filings (in all 50 states), including obtaining forms, data and signatures from international officers, assembling packages, arranging printing and mailing the filings (about 525 separate filings per year). • Handled all data calls for workers’ comp filings and other miscellaneous calls, and assisted Corporate Secretary in regulatory issues. • Wrote procedures manuals for departmental functions to comply with Risk Assessment and Audit requirements.

General Accounting and Payroll Services for Yankee and its Parent company, DMG including being involved in the due diligence procedures relating to the transition to new accounting software (which was done 4 times within five years). In addition: • Managed payroll for US and Canada operations for 175 employees (ADP System). • Set up new states for payroll, and resolved problems arising with the change of FEIN. • Completed all Accounts Payable duties including reviewing and paying 150 expense reports a week, and approximately $1.5 million in general operating expenses weekly. Issued 1099s annually. • Prepared Daily Cash and Dashboard Reports. • Completed GL Account Reconciliation monthly, including all Balance Sheet accounts. • Reconciled the Fixed Asset Register monthly and prepared monthly bank reconciliations.and related journal entries • Created Excel spreadsheets to track expenses that resulted in cost savings. • Involved in a transition from in-house processing to coordinating materials to be sent to parent company for processing of all AP. Involved in the transition back to a different in-house system (Epicor). • Created training manuals for all positions in the Accounting Department.
