I help innovative companies and their engineers and scientists navigate the intellectual property systems of the United States and of other countries. My core practice is obtaining patents and counseling clients on developing intellectual property portfolios, particularly in high tech areas including cryptocurrency & blockchain, artificial intelligence & machine learning, cloud computing, autonomous vehicles, and medical devices. I also work with my colleagues to bring to clients a full spectrum of legal help across a number of disciplines including business planning, financing, collaborations and licensing, regulatory, employment, and more. I am active in the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) where I was previously Chair of the Law Practice Management Committee and the New Lawyers Committee.I also do a variety of pro bono work primarily in civil liberties and criminal justice reform.
