Since April 2018 Frank is responsible for the Program Management Office of Navinfo Europe's Advanced Research Lab. This team focuses on the development of new technologies for Navinfo but also to the automotive industry. State of art technologies in the deep learning domain are researched and developed. Computer Vision/Deep Learning technology developed by the Advanced Research Lab at Navinfo Europe today is embedded into the collection chain of Navinfo for SD map data collection and also for HD map collection. Automotive Tier1 companies are embedding this technology too in their own products & services. The Advanced Research Lab is also developing technologies in other domains.From early 2015 till April 2018 Frank was responsible for the products and services of Navinfo Europe's AI & Computer Vision group. This team focuses on delivering computer vision/Deep Learning based products and services to Navinfo but also to the automotive industry. From 2012 until 2015 Frank was responsible for defining Mapscape’s telematics service strategy and successfully roll this out into the market. Frank was in charge of the development and go to market of a new business line at Mapscape. Before Frank’s employment with Mapscape, he was product manager, Parking and Electronic Vehicle within NOKIA’s Map division. He was primarily responsible for defining NOKIA’s rich and dynamic content strategy.In the first 5 years of Frank’s employment at NOKIA/NAVTEQ he was responsible, as global product marketing manager, for NAVTEQ’s strategy for visual content and the successful introduction of 3D content in the navigation industry. Before joining NOKIA (NAVTEQ), he was product marketing manager at Philips Consumer Electronics. At Philips, Frank was responsible for mobile phone and wired phone BU in the Benelux.
