I am currently the Federation Engagement Liaison at the American Institute of Physics (AIP) My role is to improve AIP's relationships with the Member Societies through written communications and face-to-face interactions, as well as increase the frequency and consistency by which AIP communicates with Member Society leadership and volunteers connected with AIP.For four years prior to this role, I worked as a Program Advisor for the Grants Resource Center, part of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). I was responsible for providing thorough, accurate, and timely information on federal and private funding programs. I also reported on new policies, legislation, regulations, and provide guidance in specific disciplinary areas, primarily those concerning the National Science Foundation, Department of Defense research initiatives, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and STEM education initiatives.In this role, I contributed to several Grants Resource Center publications, as well as provided tailored funding searches for member universities. I represented my organization and members at briefings, conferences and other events to help build and maintain relationships with federal and private officials.
