Ik werk samen met de meer dan 125 lectoren en onderzoekers van het kenniscentrum om, vanuit de missie, visie en ambities van de HU en het kenniscentrum, de onderzoeksprogrammering, de acquisitie van onderzoek en het maken van verbindingen met de beroepspraktijk te realiseren. En ik werk aan de organisatie van interne en externe samenwerkingsverbanden, netwerken en relaties. Binnen de hogeschool leg ik verbanden tussen de lectoraten, de onderwijsinstituten, de andere kenniscentra en de expertisegebieden. Buiten de hogeschool leg ik verbanden zodat de lectoraten een bijdrage kunnen leveren aan hoogwaardige kennisontwikkeling en innovatieve samenwerkingen met het ecosysteem van de regio.

Deze programma’s staan midden in de maatschappij, reflecteren op de maatschappij en helpen de maatschappij zich te ontwikkelen. Cruciaal onderdeel van die maatschappij is de manier waarop we de komende decennia omgaan met ons klimaat. Het Media Groen consortium bestaat uit betrokken organisaties op het Media Park en de gemeente Hilversum die de voor Hilversum zeer belangrijke broadcast- en media industrie op ecologisch, economisch en sociaal terrein van binnenuit willen verduurzamen en het belang dat we hechten aan duurzaamheid uit te dragen.

The Media Future Week is an annual next-level-week for excellent media and ICT students and teachers of universities of applied science. It is an all-in week that runs for 45 hours in four days, in which an intense program of internationally acclaimed speakers, co-creation and intense discussion is offered. This is all aimed at facilitating the participants (both students and teachers) in becoming better media professionals. The intensity and focus of the week makes it a life changing experience, both for particpants as well as for the organising team.Each MFW edition I direct over 100 professionals to make their contribution fit the goals of the Media Future Week and to cocreate a great event for the participants.www.mediafutureweek.nl

For iMMovator I run several projects like the bi-annual Monitor Creatieve Industrie, the annual Best of IBC Tours and the Growing Games work package for optimizing the applied games industry working chain by introducing 'format thinking' from the media industry. Furthermore I coordinate the production, streaming and publication of the video content produced at all iMMovator events.One special project that I initiated is the Mediagroen project that aims to make the media industry in Hilversum ecologically sustainable. Media reflects and steers society and sustainability is a major societal topic. Giving industry sustainablity the attention it deserves, helps the media industry to remain relevant and 'in touch' with this society she is part of.

I co-chair the HbbTV Forum Nederland together with Rob Koenen. This forum is a consortium of all the major broadcasters, television manufacturers, service companies and a number of distributors active in the Dutch television industry. The consortium has the goal to introduce HbbTV in the Netherlands and to agree on a set of rules to create a reliable and functional ecosystem for HbbTV in the Netherlands.http://www.hbbtv.nu

The challenge is to make the best use of technology for reaching out to new audiences, adapting to the digital era and thriving in the connected Digital Single Market.

I was asked to be one of the expert reviewers on the TV-Ring project, a project about bringing transmedia storytelling, interaction, 2nd-screen applications and high bandwidth UHD content to the TV via the internet.

I was asked to be an expert reviewer on the Horizon 2020 ICT19 program: "The demand is growing for high-quality content and new user experiences. At the same time, thanks to ubiquitous technology adoption, widespread use of mobile devices, broadband internet penetration and increasing computing power the consumption of content anywhere, anytime and on any device is becoming a reality. Consequently, developments related to content creation, access, retrieval and interaction offer a number of opportunities and challenges, also for the creative and media industries. In order to keep pace with the trends and remain competitive, those industries need to explore new ways of creating and accessing content. The opportunity to establish new forms of content and user engagement could be transformative to many businesses in creative and media industries."

The team offered consists of professionals with very diverse experience in international media business with a deep technological understanding of business decisions.

XDEV (www.xdev.nl) specializes in software development and project management for digital content delivery. The XDEV secure content delivery platform is used internationally for video rental chains MovieMax and Videoland and a number of other international clients and is endorsed by most of the major movie studios. I am responsible for the company operations including managing development, platform and company strategy and operational external relations.

D-Reel was a joint venture that came from the Movieplus Kenniswijk program I did for Keeno. I was responsible for the operations which meant project management, ICT infrastructure, technical and operational contacts with the movie studios and others and movie encoding and encryption. In this period I have experienced the movie industry and its contacts and contracts evolving from DVD to digital distribution. The joint venture was ended because of each partners differing strategical choice, the activities were continued by XDEV.

Keeno (www.keeno.nl) is an online DVD rental company that rents out DVD using the NETFLIX model. I was responsible for the Movieplus Kenniswijk program that Keeno was awarded (based on a project plan that I co-wrote) for developing an end-to-end legal movie download service. This was the service that had the worldwide premiere for EST (electronic sell through) content for one of the major movie studios and laid the foundation for the current XDEV supplied MovieMax and Videoland electronic distribution services.

The Stichting iMMovator Hilversum (www.immovator.nl) is a foundation founded by local and regional governments, the chamber of commerce and several regionally oriented companies that provided housing, support and combined marketing for small crossmedia companies in the Hilversum area. It was my responsibility to scout companies, to advise the foundation's daily board on which companies to support, to manage the foundation's budgets and contracts, to coordinate the iMMovator crossmedia events and to represent iMMovator.

The Stichting Nieuwe Bedrijvigheid Utrecht (www.nieuwe-bedrijvigheid.nl) is a foundation founded by local and regional governments, the chamber of commerce and several regionally oriented companies that finances support of small high tech companies in the Utrecht area. Over the years about 300 companies were supported, with a portfolio of about 20 concurrently supported companies. It was my responsibility to scout, select and present the companies to the foundation's board and to advise on which companies to support and to monitor their progress.

KplusV (www.kplusv.nl) is a Dutch oriented consultancy firm with 80 consultants aimed at governmental issues and small and medium sized enterprises. My speciality was to support founders of small high tech companies in the Rotterdam, Utrecht and Hilversum area in creating business plans and acquire growth capital and to manage the coordinating projects.
