Musician, educator, and composer Frank Vitolo was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest with a saxophone in his mouth. Currently residing in Brooklyn, New York performing at a wide scope of local jazz clubs and venues. He’s had the opportunity to study with New York jazz luminaries such as, Dave Liebman, Chris Potter, Tony Moreno, Ari Hoenig, Wayne Krantz, Rich Perry and Dave Pietro. Which has helped him receive notable accolades such as:- Winner of the Barney Josephson Award NYU 2022- Steinhardt Talent Scholarship Recipient - Earshot Jazz Nominee for Album of the Year & Emerging Artists of the Year- “INDIGNATION IS #1 ON BEST SEATTLE ALBUMS OF 2020: THE CRITICS’ BALLOTS” Frank has had a versatile career in teaching private lessons in Seattle and New York for over 8 years. Including, 3 years working with the internationally recognized Washington Middle School and Garfield High School jazz bands, as well as Northwest School in Seattle. During his time as graduate student at NYU, Frank was an adjunct faculty member for private lessons for undergraduates in saxophone and beginning piano.
