Within the company, it was my task to apply these KeyGene areas of expertise to the field of biostimulants and biocontrol. KeyGene was founded in 1989, is based in Wageningen, The Netherlands and Rockville, MD (USA), and employs over 140 people.

My job was to manage the technical department and determine the technological strategy of the company. I worked as a postdoctoral Marie Curie research fellow at the "Instituto de Biologia Molecular y Celular de Plantas" (IBMCP) that is part of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) and the "Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas" (CSIC) in Valencia, Spain. I investigated the molecular processes involved in salinity stress in both plants (Arabidopsis) and yeast.
