I am accountable to carve out the P2P solutions of in-scope business units from P&G, and establishing the system, work processes and organizations (incl. BPO operations) to provide P2P services to the acquiring business owner for a transition period. This role leverages my significant experience of the Purchase-to-Pay process, familiarity with various business units, as well as my commercial experience to ensure a fully compliant transition, especially with regards to antitrust and Reverse-Morris-Trust regulations.

Cincinnati, Ohio Area

Led the Purchases Services and Solutions for P&G. My team of 40 purchases professionals across the globe owned all purchases work processes as well as the technology suite necessary to manage the procurement of all of P&G’s buying needs. The team was directing the work of 500 employees who are mainly based in three service centers (Romania, Philippines, Costa Rica) as well as approximately 300 employees at our BPO partners. I personally ensured that the innovation budget of $13 MM per year delivered against the business objectives and that the portfolio structurally strengthened P&G’s position in the market.*Developed the technology and business model for a breakthrough innovation in indirect procurement, ensured IP protection, and established an innovative co-creation agreement with a global IT platform provider that shares the effort and benefits between the parties.*Redefined the corporate policy with regards to approved buying solutions, decision making processes, and price controls that is standardizing P&G’s procurement processes to one global standard. This resulted in significantly less system and work process complexity, lower operating cost, easier business process outsourcing (BPO), and it accelerated the integration of acquisitions.* Leading the annual SOX certification process for purchases.* Established a benchmarking program reapplying APQC’s benchmarking framework. Development and implementation of a monthly cost-tracking-tool that provided full transparency of Purchase Order Management cost, enabling a constant 10%year-on-year productivity improvement.

Cincinnati Area

Led the indirect Purchases Services & Solutions (PSS) for P&G. The work scope was about half of the current role, focused on the demand-driven procurement of goods and services with an innovation budget of approximately $7MM.• Scaled P&G’s Supplier Portal to increase the transmission of Purchase Orders electronically from 5% to 75% with over 7,500 suppliers globally, resulting in more transparency of PO transmission, lower cost and an improved supply chain.• Established the largest Corporate Procurement Card footprint in the industry with more than 7,000 individual card holders across more than 20 countries. The program is used for low-value as well as for select strategic purchases and is fully self-funded.• Developed and implemented an internal procurement solution based on SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP-SRM technology that delivered significantly improved usability. As a result, it reduced implementation and training efforts and boosted user adoption resulting in a global footprint across more than 80 countries and 25,000 users within a 12 month roll-out window.

Global ownership for the consolidation of P&G’s indirect procurement landscape. Led a team of 15 direct reports.• Standardization of approval guidelines and harmonization of approval levels across P&G to simplify the Source-to-Pay process.• Technology standardization of three regional SAP B2B solutions into one global SAP SRM solution. As a result, change management effort was reduced by 20%, and process improvements were implemented three times faster while the risk of negative impacts (from change) was reduced.• Implementation of a global eCatalog solution and integrating it with SAP SRM. Strong collaboration with Sourcing leaders across the world to ensure top quality catalog content. Established regional content owner networks and KPIs to ensure ongoing focus, content accuracy and freshness.

Led a team of 20 managers across EMEA and ASIA who implemented the purchasing portion of P&G’s ERP solution globally. My team owned all purchasing solutions for raw, pack, and storeroom materials (SAP MM), as well as the indirect procurement solution (SAP B2B).• Executed the mapping & matching process to validate the standard solution template against local business needs.• Managed the work process changes or enhanced the solution set to ensure a match between technology and work process.• Trained key and end-users at about 80 sites and 30 countries.• Established regional key user networks to ensure proper support and delivery of intended business results.

Mainz Area, Germany

Oral Care Manufacturing - Mainz, GermanyVarious roles within manufacturing of toothpaste and toothbrushes.• Manufacturing Leader for Injection Molding department with 80 employees and up to 50 contractors. Collaborated closely with Works Council and Union Leaders to transition from a conventional two-shift team structure to an advanced four-shift model to meet increased demand and ensure 100% capacity utilization of key assets. Implemented High Performance Organization model to improve productivity and technical understanding of manufacturing personnel. Significantly improved maintenance and appearance standards in the department. Identified opportunities to maximize capacity utilization of underused equipment and started manufacturing bottle caps for our laundry business unit. This reduced the procurement cost by 50% versus buying them from suppliers.• Initiative and Materials Management Leader for Toothbrushes and Toothpaste. Responsible for a team of 15 planners and all line scheduling, initiative planning and execution of manufacturing or artwork changes in Oral Care Europe. Delivered inventory reduction from 72 days to 35 days (inventory on hand).

Fabric & Home Care Manufacturing – Worms, GermanyVarious roles within manufacturing of laundry detergents and perfumes. • Implemented SAP R/2 across the site for materials management processes. Trained end users and ensured work process changes required to ensure smooth execution of future processes. • Implemented first SAP R/3 warehouse management module in P&G to control the entire material flow from goods receipt to production in order to optimize inventory and minimize material shortages for the only European perfume making facility. Led a significant organization change to enable existing manufacturing personnel to fully execute the digital supply chain in parallel to the physical supply chain.• Head of the Electrical Engineering Department (11 employees) responsible for maintenance and repair of the plant’s electrical and information systems infrastructure. Developed the specifications and supervised the execution of the electrical work associated with all manufacturing projects (e.g. new machines, buildings, tank farms, etc.).
