Led the Purchases Services and Solutions for P&G. My team of 40 purchases professionals across the globe owned all purchases work processes as well as the technology suite necessary to manage the procurement of all of P&G’s buying needs. The team was directing the work of 500 employees who are mainly based in three service centers (Romania, Philippines, Costa Rica) as well as approximately 300 employees at our BPO partners. I personally ensured that the innovation budget of $13 MM per year delivered against the business objectives and that the portfolio structurally strengthened P&G’s position in the market.*Developed the technology and business model for a breakthrough innovation in indirect procurement, ensured IP protection, and established an innovative co-creation agreement with a global IT platform provider that shares the effort and benefits between the parties.*Redefined the corporate policy with regards to approved buying solutions, decision making processes, and price controls that is standardizing P&G’s procurement processes to one global standard. This resulted in significantly less system and work process complexity, lower operating cost, easier business process outsourcing (BPO), and it accelerated the integration of acquisitions.* Leading the annual SOX certification process for purchases.* Established a benchmarking program reapplying APQC’s benchmarking framework. Development and implementation of a monthly cost-tracking-tool that provided full transparency of Purchase Order Management cost, enabling a constant 10%year-on-year productivity improvement.

The work scope was about half of the current role, focused on the demand-driven procurement of goods and services with an innovation budget of approximately $7MM.• Scaled P&G’s Supplier Portal to increase the transmission of Purchase Orders electronically from 5% to 75% with over 7,500 suppliers globally, resulting in more transparency of PO transmission, lower cost and an improved supply chain.• Established the largest Corporate Procurement Card footprint in the industry with more than 7,000 individual card holders across more than 20 countries. The program is used for low-value as well as for select strategic purchases and is fully self-funded.• Developed and implemented an internal procurement solution based on SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP-SRM technology that delivered significantly improved usability. As a result, it reduced implementation and training efforts and boosted user adoption resulting in a global footprint across more than 80 countries and 25,000 users within a 12 month roll-out window.
