Director of Information/Communication Systems for Joint Intelligence Center. Personally selected to establish and lead Pacific ADP Server Site in Japan. Successfully relocated technologically dependent organization and established a new high security computer/communication node and customer support organization based on commercial Internet standards and operational efficiencies. Solved problems surrounding implementation of concept to reduce intelligence systems, consolidate assets, and promote standardization and interoperability.Personally involved with all relocation and communication node creation tasks. Integrated and directed the installation of $2.1 million of new Sun, Network Appliance, and CISCO equipment into site configuration that included: over $20 million of DEC VAX/VMS, Novell, Windows and DOS software using computer and communication hardware from HP, IBM, Digital and others;* Provided 24-hour customer service at two sites during relocation;* Saved U.S. government over $105,000 by carefully managing relocation assets;* Oversaw 6 consultants on 4 separate contracts from GTE, TRW, PSC, and Lockheed-Martin; and * Smoothly integrated military, government, and contractor personnel into a goal driven team.Leading the organization’s technology relocation project involved facilitating focus groups through the requirement gathering and analysis phases. Then, continued with designing an entire infrastructure and security solution that matched the high level requirements and then ensured that the relocation was implemented successfully. Also, led a significant change management effort as all members of the organization were required to move families and belongings within Japan to another site in conjunction with the organizational relocation.
