－Directing an independent thesis research project with Dr. James Sikes to elucidate, quantify, and characterize novel mechanisms used by Convolutriloba acoels to endogenously re-pattern body polarity in existing adult tissue. － Performing traditional molecular and developmental laboratory techniques such as multi-step synthesis, RT-qPCR, PCR, gel-electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, in-situ hybridization, and RNAi while maintaining a comprehensive data repository.－ Devising strategies to optimize our situ hybridization protocol, conditions, and reagents to characterize the bmp and admp signaling pathway consistently.－ Analyze, prepare, and present data in small and large group settings ranging from 1 to 80 people.－Wrote a 5-page proposal that formed the rationale for requesting and attaining a Whitehead Fellowship research grant. Delivered a presentation showcasing my results, conclusions, and future directions of planarian research.
