I have 14 members of staff that report into me. I have at one time or another been supervisor/manager of all departments of the branch and continue to cover all aspects of assisting in running the branch which includes the Yard, Hire department, Trade Counter, Goods in and Purchasing, abd continuing to cover payrole, scheduling, HR and admin for the branch.

Managing the day to day in the yard. Arranging deliveries in to and out of the branch, liasing with suppliers and customers. Locking and unlocking the branch, payrole and schedules. I became forklift trained and secured my COSHH certificate. I turned around the yard from being poorly maintained and messey to something we are now extremely proud of. Implemented cyclical counting and cleared stock that were not selling to make space for higher margin stock. Located the stock and organised, making sure the yard staff were fully involved in the process to make there jobs easier. Promoted one of my Yard staff to control the quality of stock being delivered to us and carrying out the cyclical counts.

Implemented new processes and created new schedules when the hours worked was reduced. Grew my knowledge of building materials. Created floor plans for the shop to incorporate changes being made by suppliers.Increased my knowledge of working with P&L's, sales and the retail side of the business.

In my role I covered payrole, HR administration, schedules, including amending changes so as to change one shift to three.

This role was created to streamline the link between customer services and our returns department. This included following repairs, courier claims and general returns to a conclusion. Investigating fraud attempts using and creating daily reports to find suspicious trends.During this time I worked with three other colleagues throughout Covid working remotely from home and manning customer services while the majority of the department was on furlough.

Towards the end of my time as a senior advisor I was picked to be a part of implementing a new system that was to be used by the entire company, I worked on this for around 18 months. In doing this I liaised with all departments of the company to ensure our processes aligned and work cohesively together. I created the training documents, training and schedule and carried out the training for the new system to be rolled out to the customer service and returns departments.
