Varicent Software was acquired by IBM in Apr 2012. Aside from continuing my consultant role at IBM for a smooth transition. I took on the challenge and spent my off project hours as a Client Executive. Based on my project experiences and product knowledge, I was providing Sales Support in terms of Services scoping, resources planning and cost budgeting for different prospects. My potential customers were from a wide range of industries including insurance, telecommunications, banking and technology coming from different countries in APAC.

My primary role was to demonstrate professional expertise on the implementation of the Sales Performance Management system for my clients. Gathering requirements, designing implementation details to utilize the company's application system and supporting SIT/UAT for quality assurance are all crucial to a successful project delivery. For partnered projects, leadership personality is required to provide guidance and encourage communication during different project phases. What I most like about this company was the culture of open communications and the encouragement to share each of our consulting experiences and research within the company. It had a lot of space to promote creativity in problem solving and project delivery.

Being in the Risk IT department, the projects I worked on includes the Capital Adequacy Ratio Calculation (CAR) for the Basel II compliance; Counterparty Credit Risk Monitoring (CCR) and Centralized Loan Management system (LMS); all of which integrate extensively across all the other systems in the bank.Performing BA duties on project implementations as well as taking on the Project Manager role on the CCR project.
