• Working closely with Project Managers and external stakeholders to expand the wireless capability within schools throughout QLD as part of the Wireless Extension Project. • Utilise Ekahau Software to design wireless heatmaps that meet the requirements for the school.• Review site assessments and assess the need to upgrade a schools active switching technology.• Understand the requirements to upgrade a schools passive ICT infrastructure to meet new active equipment requirements for new wireless technologies being installed.• Conduct Communications Cabinet Audits to understand existing capability within a given school.• An in-depth understanding of all relevant Australian cabling standards to ensure new installations are compliant.• Liaising with vendors, schools, internal stakeholders and contractors to achieve value for money.

• Conducting personalised training on Nightlife equipment and services both over the phone and face to face.• Diagnosing issues and opportunities in Nightlife’s equipment and services and providing internal feedback.• Single point of contact for processing technical project roll-outs with clients.• Liaising with and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders (AV service providers, venue staff and end users).• Providing personalised service to clients which suits them and their venue by conducting music and video briefs.• Working with internal departments to ensure clients receives the best service from the business.• Fault finding and providing technical support for media players, tablets and PC’s.• Keeping detailed records for future client engagements.• Management of competing priorities, including proactive and reactive workloads.• Managing end to end client needs and expectations of the business’s services.• Maintaining a regular communication cycle with clients through a follow up strategy and proactive workflow management.

• Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of National Defence assets (base radio facilities), including planned and unplanned travel.• Decommissioning and installation of structured cabling systems (including cabling and associated hardware) to establish the telecommunications infrastructure.• Working to a planned installation schedule, included rotating day/ night rosters.• Continuous adjustment to changing environments and extreme working conditions throughout the Middle East Region.• Engaging and liaising with Coalition armed forces and other organisations to ensure work fronts are appropriately delineated to ensure security of assets.• Accurate record keeping and reporting on the work being undertaken, including updating building diagrams, patching records and equipment layouts.• Actively participating in safety meetings prior to conducting work (including working at heights and confined spaces)

• Plan, install, manage and maintain advanced telecommunication networks.• Fault finding and rectification of networks.• Understanding and interpreting complex network and cable diagrams.• Construction, de-construction and maintenance of steel telecommunications towers.• Installation and maintenance of SATCOM equipment.• Stocktaking, researching, quoting (minimum three) and management of parts and equipment required for the maintenance tasks of the national base radio facilities.• Advising and providing capability to Defence Operations to assist the control of battle in relation to the following methods, Radio; Fibre Optics; Microwave; Information Systems; and Satellite links.• Maintenance of all active Communication Information System technology being used in the task groups location.• 24/7 monitoring and support for the deployed networks (including rotating day/ night rosters).• Establishing and maintaining secure video teleconferences (domestic and international) for senior officers.• Meet and work to strict timelines for the connectivity of video teleconferences.• Installation of new Information Systems equipment, including satellite terminals, routers and switches.• Maintaining tracking spreadsheets and reports on the network as it changed or updated.• Audits and stock take of all communications and IT equipment within the task groups location.• General soldiering duties such as, manning defensive positions, patrolling, traffic control, camouflaging of vehicles and field equipment and navigation.
