Greetings,I am a systems engineer specializing in the development of graphical applications, distributed systems, and database internals. At heart, I am your definition of a full stack engineer. Currently, I am pursing a PhD at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with an emphasis on spatial-temporal database research. Having two Bachelor's degrees in both Computer Science and Economics, I enjoy diving into financial engineering and the intersection of these two fields when I can. Other areas of research that are currently of great interest to me are VR/AR data visualization and spatial interactions.Some of the work that I have pursued as either a personal project or research are: a distributed system capable of conducting federated learning built with C++ and Berkley sockets, a package manager to organize personal library installation and various development environments, a software testing library similar to google tests, and a universal database driver library designed to mimic a polystore.Having spent a majority of my time in academia, I have worked for Edtech startup Studyhall in which I helped facilitate and develop the construction of ML/AI based solutions for providing learning material and content to students based on their interests.In my free time, I enjoy hiking, rollerblading, bouldering and cooking. I am currently in the process of attaining fluency in Japanese and possess concrete ability in all four forms of communication.
