* Developed themes and materials for DEED’s first green jobs web site and its first green jobs state fair booth. The state fair booth won an award from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators. *Re-wrote, edited and added content to "Creative Job Search," a full-length book used by classes at state workforce centers and by job seekers. The book received Award of Merit in the book category in the 2011 Northern Lights Contest sponsored by the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators.* Developed brochures for wind, bioscience and clean tech audiences. Developed content and managed photo acquisition for several other reports and press releases.* Edited and wrote content for several sub-sections of the department’s 30,000 page web site.

Co-chaired committee which operated a bicycle tour that was among the Minnesota chapter's most popular outreach efforts. Several rides were featured in the local media. Created and facilitated several community meetings dealing with development and transportation issues. Received "Volunteer of the Year" with my co-chair.

Helped lead a six member group that attempted to created a piece of legislation creating a study to quantify jobs in the sustainability field. Testified at the Capitol in favor of the legislation. The Legislature later approved a similar study. Traveled to Washington and attended nearly all the meetings during the fellowship.

Designed a five month program for 10 international journalists that featured 350 visits and interviews in 15 to 20 cities and towns across the country. Visits ranged from PBS to juvenile detention facilities in Los Angeles to AIDS hospices in San Francisco to Harvard University.
