I've been involved with many areas of Information Technology, Information Security, and Identity Management. I started my career supporting products like Windows for Workgroups and MS Mail. I managed the help desk for students at WCU as well as a 200-node computer lab. I then went into IT operations managing the MS Mail to Exchange migration as well as developing the tools to migrate data from our mainframe to automatically generate accounts for students. Later I got involved with some in-house acceptable use investigations for Human Resources and Legal Counsel. I handled the recovery of multiple malware outbreaks and towards the end of my time at WCU provided guidance for the Incident Response and Recovery of an "almost" ransomware attack. I've also fostered relationships with local law enforcement to provide guidance on the use of technical information. During the last year, was working on self-Risk Assessment using CIS Critical Controls and fitting the response into NIST CSF.Interests & HobbiesOwn a dog and 2 pet rats.
