Assigned to Syscon Tampa Office supporting USCENTCOM, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS/J8), Modern Aids to Planning Program (MAPP) with the Combat Analysis Group, MacDill AFB, FL. Aided in the development of the Master Simulation Data System (MSDS), a software tool which processes data from a common data base used in the JOINT Theater Level Simulation (JTLS), Joint Exercise Simulation System (JESS), and TACWAR simulation/war gamming models. Participated in various military studies and exercises conducted by the Combat Analysis Group. Designed and developed several areas of the MSDS using INGRES and EQUEL/C. This included programs to read and write JTLS and TACWAR formatted data into the system. Translated FORTRAN source code from TACWAR model to produce pseudo code and flow diagrams. These were used to aid in the development of analyst and programmer guides to show critical functionality of the TACWAR model process.

As a Cooperative Education student supporting the R&D Section of the Instrumentation Development Lab (IDL). Aided in the development of microprocessor driven prototype equipment for analyzing surface and ground water which included design of pc-boards, packaging, circuit design, and related interfacing development. Developed simulations for testing equipment in environmental situations to ensure proper operation of designed instrumentation under such conditions. Designed and implemented software to manipulate collected data for reports, analysis, and graphs.
