I am a highly experienced Scaffold Yardman with over 23 years’ expertise on major construction projects in the mining sector. I am skilled in operating various types of trucks, forklifts and other specialist scaffold tools and equipment. I have held positions on leading construction sites including Train 4, Train 5, Ravensthorpe, Yandi, Barrow Island, Onslow Wheatstone, Roy Hill, Rio Tinto Nammuldi and Brockman 4. My knowledge of the established on-site procedures and requirements has made me a key resource to the companies which I have been engaged with including Kaefer Maicon, Civmec, AGC, PCH, MAS and Leightons Construction. I have built strong relationships with Supervisors, Superintendents and Scaffolders which has been crucial to securing continuous employment in some of the largest yards such as the BHP Ravensthorpe Nickel Project one, Train Four and Power Station.The contribution which I make in each job was recognised whilst working on the North-West Shelf Venture Phase IV Expansion Project and I was awarded a certificate For Outstanding Performance; for having a ‘can do’ attitude and constantly being a team player.I encourage strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures amongst peers and site visitors. Due to my active involvement and commitment to OH&S activities and principles, I won an OH & S award with AGC in appreciation of my efforts for “Promoting the Project Covenants and continually striving for an Incident and Injury Free workplace”.I have dedicated a large portion of my time to multiple charity and fund-raising events helping the communities across WA and giving back to the people. My efforts have been recognised publicly by Senior Officials and in the local media. These include an article in the Community Spirit for my work on the Ravensthorpe Child Care Fundraiser and a Letter of Recognition by the Ravensthorpe Basketball. My current work in progress is a new ANZAC shirt for 2020.
