I am the co-founder and CEO of Remephy, a biotech startup that develops novel technology for phytoremediation and metal recycling. We use genetic engineering to create plant-microbe systems that can extract heavy metals from contaminated soils, and recover valuable metals for industrial applications. We spun out of my PhD research at Imperial College London, where I am still pursuing my degree in chemical engineering.As a venture scientist at Conception X, I have been part of cohort 6 since February 2023, where I receive mentorship, training to transform my research into a viable business. I have also been involved in field work, scientific writing, and project management, and have acquired multiple skills in systems and synthetic biology, environmental biology, and entrepreneurship. My goal is to create a positive impact on the environment and society by applying my expertise and passion for biotechnology.
