Day time hours are 1 pm-6pm ages 12-24, overnight hours 9pm-8am ages 18-24. Services we provide are housing, employment, education referrals, and behavioral health.

my job was to tend to the clients in our youth homeless shelter (ages 18-24) and provide them with both basic and personal needs. I would often be tasked with doing intake for the shelter, as well as doing mental wellness checks with clients and health checks on clients who may be under the influence. I also helped with various resource referrals such as housing, substance use counseling, employment, and mental health counseling and mental health resources.

Open doors is a non-profit youth re-engagement program located on the green river college campus in Auburn WA. My job as a peer mentor was to help counsel and refer resources to students between the ages of 16-21 who were trying to get back into school because traditional high school might not have worked out for certain reasons or because life got in the way. Our goal was to ensure that those students were able to complete the course work for their high school diploma through college curriculum and also work towards getting a college degree.
