Prepare and teach dual credit Music Appreciation courses in the Music department to a diverse student population based on the department's approved course learning outcomes, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies appropriate to the needs of college students and the standards of the discipline. The course will study selected composers and compositions through an interpretation of their historical, functional, and cultural significance. Participate actively in departmental responsibilities including assessment of student learning outcomes at the course level, participating in department meetings, and other departmental activities.Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations.Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a manner which does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or other protected categories.Remain current in the field through a variety of professional development activities.

Responsible for the effective and smooth running of the orchestra’s annual program of activity and provides administrative support for the organization. Oversees operational, financial, and human resources tasks. Acts as a liaison between departments. Responsible for preparing and presenting a budget to the Board of Directors, and ultimately for ensuring all departments operate within the company's financial constraints. Together with the Music Director or Conductor, sets rehearsal and performance schedules, supervises auditions, and oversees venue preparation. Secures clearances for music rights and oversees equipment procurement.

Project planning experience includes directing and conducting middle and high school performers, such as band, orchestra, soloists, and ensembles; establishing performance requirements, enforcing academic requirements, and verifying each student’s eligibility to participate; providing for participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and UIL activities; arranging transportation, lodging, and meals for out-of-town events; complying with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and UIL rules; obtaining and using evaluative findings (including student achievement data) to determine program effectiveness and ensure that program renewal is continuous and responds to student needs; and recommending policies to improve the various music programs. Assistant management of recording studio; scheduled and coordinated the day-to-day activities of the recording studio while coordinating equipment setup, strike, and operation with venue management and part-time staff engineers; engineered and produced audio and video recordings in a variety of genres, particularly classical and jazz; supervised and trained incoming part-time staff recording engineers; provided assistance to college and school faculty, staff, students, and guest artists and organizations in use of recording studio resources; executed recording of special events for the university, including Austin Chamber Music Festival summer series events, professional university album recording sessions, and high-profile guest artist events and performances; and organized, maintained, and improved recording studio equipment, documentation, and digital resources.

Planned, prepared, coordinated, and instructed university level courses in Western Music Theory, Music Technology, and Music Composition to students of an average class size of twenty persons. Held collaborative workshops and presentations in music creation between faculty and students. Facilitated passionate discussions on the differences and similarities between Eastern and Western musical styles and techniques, the advantages and disadvantages of music notation in varying cultures, and the economics and career potential of mainstream/popular music in fusion with classical, traditional folk, and other idioms now and in the coming decade. Encouraged individually motivated contributions of classwork and projects to be molded and manipulated into strong representations of humanity, art, and music.
