The main purpose of this role is to plan and control the maintenance activities in Nueva Renca Thermoelectrical Plant to keep the assets associated to the process reliable, keeping the safety standards of the industry.

Among the activities of this role are:- Plan and coordinate all the electric, instrumentation and automation maintenance of the molded pulp plan of the company, leading a group of 5 technicians working in rotating shifts.- Track daily reports, maintenance inspections and TPM anomaly cards to plan preventive maintenance activities.- Plan and coordinate the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems by external contractors.- Propose plans to improve electrical, instrumentation and automation systems according to a plan based on standardization, homologation and maintainability of assets.- Perform and manage the purchase of materials, spare parts and services for the execution of electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance, maintaining the budget as planned.- Provide technical support to industrial automation systems based on Programmable Logical Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).- Be part of the Planned Maintenance Pillar (PM) in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology implemented in the factory.- Keep all the instrumentation registries associated to ISO certification 18000 and 22000 updated and available.

Engineer in charge of:- Planning, coordinate and execute maintenance of Distributed Control Systems based on Honeywell TDC-3000, Honeywell Experion, Foxboro I/A.- Planning, coordinate and execute maintenance and configuration of Programable Logic Controllers based on Allen Bradley's PLC5, Control Logix From Rockwell Automation, 984 from Modicon.- Planning, coordinate and execute maintenance and configuration of safety instrumented systems based on TMR, Triconex, Trusted, Regent, MarkV, MarkVI.- Planning, coordinate and execute maintenance and configuration of Dedicated Control Systems like Woodward 505E and CCC Series 3+.- Knowledge of Human-Machine Interfaces based on RSView, Wonderware and Guardian del alba.- Knowledge of IT networking and security- Knowledge of the SAP environment as user.- Participation in several automation projects.- Participation in several major repair on different refining plants.During this period I also participated in the following projects:2007: Sulfur plant reinstrumentation project: I helped conceptualise the final design of the control network and help design the implementation plan in order to be able to implement and keep the network in order.2007: Power Management System redesign project: Participation in the Factory Acceptance Test for the PMS of the Amuay Refinery, verifying hardware, software, logics, and communications.2008: FCC Project In Cardon Refinery: I participated in the Factory Acceptance Test for one of the four TMR PLC installed in this project, verifying logic, hardware, software, integrity of the system, power distribution and other details in order to keep everything under safety standards.2014: Hydrogen compressor control system: Participation in the Factory Acceptance Test for the control logix PLC for C201 in Amuay Refinery, Hardware and software test.2015: Hydrogen compressor control system: Participation in the Factory Acceptance Test for TMR System, hardware, software and logic test.

Lead Supervisor in charge of planning, coordinate and execute the maintenance of the automated control systems for the bulk solid handling system in Amuay Refinery in PDVSA, during this period I executed and keep track of the maintenance of electronic scales, maintenance of field instrumentation for solid handling like misalignment sensors, plug sensors, speed sensors, temperature sensors, and others. During this period it was also necessary to redesign the maintenance plan in order to adjust and optimise resource and personnel availability.

This job consisted in keep track of the advancement of every mechanical, instrumentation, electric, and maintenance tasks during the major repair of the Delayed Coker Unit in Cardon Refinery in PDVSA, report the results in a system in order to keep track of the real advance of the project in comparison to the projected advance.
