After graduating from university and a couple of years honing my professional skills as a financial adviser, I set up Franklyn in 1999. The last 23 years have allowed me to develop those skills further both professionally, as recognised by my Chartered Financial Planner status, and as an accomplished leader of the Franklyn business group. Indeed, I have been greatly humbled to see Franklyn become a leading Wealth Management business in the Northwest, with a local and national presence looking after a wide range of clients from individuals to businesses. It is the value and importance of putting relationships at the heart of what we do for our clients that myself and team of advisers pride ourselves on and what we feel makes us stand out from our peers.Franklyn is totally organic in the way it acquires its clients and is supported by the FTSE 100 company; St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc which has been a foundation to Franklyn and something that continues to excite both clients and the Franklyn team.As well as providing holistic wealth management to our private clients where I am still very much active, we have also created other strands to our core business such as Franklyn for Mortgages and Franklyn Foreign Money.The business has a hugely exciting future and giving back to those around us is something that we are very passionate about. We are very proud as a team to have raised over £1.2 million for many charities through the SJP Charitable Foundation. The main thrust of our charity raising efforts comes from our prestigious ‘Summer Swing’ Golf Day and ‘Winter Waltz’ Gala Dinner Events. This has now been further supported by our charity Franklyn Football Match hosted at Stoke City’s bet365 stadium which first inaugurated in 2019. In recent years, we have launched our ‘Franklyn Community Partner Programme’. This has seen us supporting local sports clubs in Cheshire East, as well as working with local schools in North Staffordshire and Cheshire where we assist students on a range of different areas. We have further cemented our work with the local primary schools through the launch of our children’s book ‘Franklyn – No Ordinary Fox’ – www.franklyn.co.uk/franklyn-foxFranklyn has become heavily involved with our sporting partners, Stoke City Football Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Club, which has allowed our community partner work to expand and make a real difference, as well as keep up the momentum of the organic growth of the business.
