The GIS based-models utilize the revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE) and spatial data to estimate surface water runoff volumes, nutrient and sediment loads into nearshore marine environments.Modeled effects of land use under various growth scenarios in the Main Hawaiian Islands using the Land Change Modeler version 2 for ArcGIS. Identified, compiled, formatted and managed GIS data (Land Use – CCAP, TIGER Roads, Census Data).
