CurrentLife Science start up in conjunction with the Brain Research Lab at NYU School of Medicine. PainQx Inc, has a patented method for the objective, quantitative measurement of pain. PainQx is working with several best in class academic and commercial collaborators to develop empirical, replicable biomarkers for chronic pain.PainQx is a neuro analytics platform being sold to the pre-commercial Clinical Research Market for use as a drug development tool, (i.e. a scaled pain biomarker, neurological side effect biomarker & placebo responder screen), providing early revenue, validation & advocacy from first users (Pharma & CROs). Upon FDA clearance, Clinical users will access PainQx tech on a pay-per-use or subscription basis. Our patented method for the objective, quantitative pain measurement is the PainQx platform. PainQx solves four problems:1) Subjective pain measurement through inaccurate patient self-report2) Measurement of pain in patient populations that cannot accurately articulate or express pain (e.g. unconscious, pediatric, elderly) or are unlikely to accurately describe the level of pain (e.g. misusers/abusers of prescription meds)3) Under-treatment of patient pain4) Over-treatment of patient pain, especially regarding over use of opioid/ analgesic drugs
